The street of culatello leads you through evocative landscapes in the Bassa Parmense, following the river Po and its surroundings full of fortresses and museums.
DURATION:
This tour takes from half to two days, depending on the number of places you want to visit and the duration of each visit, and it's about 80Km long.

ROUTE:
The first stop of this tour is Fontanellato, a nice *village dominated by its wonderful *Fortress(1400); every third sunday of the month it gives hospitality to one of the major antique market of the area.
Then you can proceed to San Secondo and its *Fortress (1450-60); the last sunday of august you can also visit the Fontanina and Spalla fairs.
From there you can go to Soragna and visit the Meli Lupi fortress and the Parmesan Cheese's Museum.
The next stop is Busseto, nativa land of Giuseppe Verdi, where you can visit the Theatre and Villa Pallavicino, and nearby the native home of the famous composer.
From there you can proceed to Roccabianca, and maybe have a little stop in Zibello, in the famous restaurant *La Buca, when you can have a taste the best Culatello of Parma.
In Roccabianca you can visit the fortress (1400).
The last stop is Colorno, where you can visit the marvellous *Reggia farnesiana and its recently restored *garden. Then you can go back to the B&B the Statale 343.
