This tour will lead you through valleys and hills, castles and natural gardens, museum of modern art and gastronomy.
DURATION:
This tour takes from half to two days, depending on the number of places you want to visit and the duration of each visit, and it's about 40Km long. The major stages are provided with an asterisk.
   
ROUTE:
The tour starts on the Romea street, beyond Collecchio, where you can visit the Guatelli Museum and the regional parks of Taro and Carrega.
Then you can turn back and go to Sala Baganza and visit it's ancient *fortress (1477), provided with frescos of Orazio Saramacchini and paintings of Cesare Galeotti.
Then you can proceed to Felino, famous for it's delicious salami, and visit the wonderful *Castle (890) and the *Salami Museum.
The next stop is near Langhirano, at the *Torrechiara Castle, one of the bigger and more uncorrupted castles in Italy; in Langhirano you can also visit the Ham Museum.
From there you can proceed to Lesignano and visit the Romanesque Pieve of S. Michele and the Badia Vallombrosana (1111); we also suggest the agrotourism *La Longarola.
The next stop is Neviano degli Arduini and its surroundings, where you can visit the Pieve of Santa Maria, the Pieve of Scurano, the Monte Fuso's Biological oasis and the Pieve of Bazzano.
From there you can go to Traversetolo and visit Magnani Rocca's foundation with its wonderful garden and the permanent exhibition of paintings of Goya, Van Dyck and Morandi.
The last stop is in Montechiarugolo and its beautiful *castle.
Then you can go back to the B&B following Parma and then Collecchio.
