B&B Parma, Road Of Porcino Mushrooms And The Castel Of Bardi

This tour will lead you through three beautiful valleys (Val Taro, Val Baganza and Val Ceno) and their great landscapes, castles and medieval villages.
Protagonists of this tour are the “porcino” mushroom of Borgotaro and the truffle of Fragno.

DURATION:
This tour takes one or to two days, depending on the number of places you want to visit and the duration of each visit, and it's about 170Km long (round trip).
The major stages are provided with an asterisk.

ROUTE:
Starting from Parma and heading to Fornovo, following the Ceno Valley, you arrive in Bardi, where it's located a marvellous *medieval fortress.
The next stop is Borgotaro, a nice village with ancient buildings, that in september gives hospitality to the “Sagra del fungo”.
From there you can proceed to Compiano , an ancient village surrounded by medieval walls, where you can visit the *Landi's Castle and have lunch in Trattoria Solari.
The next stop is Bedonia, where you can visit the Madonna di San Marco's sanctuary, the Natural History musem and the planetarium; in april Bedonia gives hospitality to the Saperi and Sapori fair.

Heading back to Parma you can have a stop in Berceto and visit it's wonderful *cathedral. Then you can go back to the B&B, either following the national road or the highway to Fornovo.
